Third Reich Police Bayonet by Alexander Coppel Solingen, (ALCOSO or ACS) with numbered original frog. An almost mint example with finely detailed top pommel in the form of the eagles head. Two piece stag horn grips (one minor crack) with aluminium police eagle emblem to the centre. Cross guard with oakleaves relief to the obverse, the reverse only has partial oakleaves and regiment and unit stamped. Housed in its original black leather scabbard with nickel plated fittings. Plain straight blade with fuller to the back edge. Reverse of the blade stamped with written details of the maker and obverse with maker symbol. Remains in extremely fine overall condition. Double trademark, nice frog, blade is in near mint condition, extremely desirable piece in display condition from a well regarded popular maker.
