Imperial German 1st Bavarian Ulan regiment M1889 Sword. Maker’s mark / logo “WKC” stamped on the ricasso. Straight, bright blade with fuller. Acid etched on dark background “1. Bayr. Ulan. Rgt. Kaiser Wilhelm II. Konig o. PreuFen”” on one side and with Cavalry scene on the other. Chromed hilt with Bavarian cypher guard. Black plastic ribbed handle. Chrome plated steel based scabbard. Regimental portepee. Blade Length: 33″ | Total Length: 39″

The 1st Royal Bavarian Ulans “Emperor William II, King of Prussia” (Königlich Bayerisches Ulanen-Regiment, Kaiser Wilhelm II., König von Preußen“ Nr. 1) was a light cavalry regiment of the Royal Bavarian Army. The regiment was formed in 1863 as a Ulans unit. It fought in the Austro-Prussian War, the Franco-Prussian War and World War I. In 1919 the regiment was disbanded.
